Jump Jersey 2008

Two exhilarating days of adventure activities including

abseiling, coastal traversing and tandem skydiving

Jersey Odyssey and Skydive Jersey have come together to deliver a superb short break package for the ultimate adrenaline seeker.

This action packed short break covers your B&B accommodation and activities but you will need to book your flights independently (We recommend you arrive the day before your scheduled activities).

Day 1.

10.00-12.00.
Abseiling at St Catherine’s starts the day as your warm up to the weekend. Your instructor will train you in this skill before taking you to the top of a 90ft cliff for your first descent of the day.  Once you have come to terms with this controlled descent, whilst being attached to a belay device, it will be time to head across the North Coast of Jersey to your next activity venue, Greve de Lecq.

14.00-16.00
Coasteering is a relatively new pastime, but has been an activity here in Jersey for decades. Your guide will provide you with a wet suit, buoyancy and helmet, and lead you through caves, tunnels and gullies, introduce you to a Venus pool and then take the first deep water entry in to the sea, with jumps up to 12 metres. (please bring an old pair of trainers).

You will be able to reminisce over a beer or two in the hotel bar in preparation for your main event; the tandems skydive. But don’t drink too much as you need to be up and about by 06.00 the next day.

Day 2

07.30 Various reporting times - see below.
You will need to check-in at the skydive office at the time confirmed upon booking and the remainder of the day needs to be allowed as the actual jump time is only allocated on the day. Various paperwork and tandem-jump training is undertaken before the jump.

If your jump goes ahead on time and you feel the need for further activities such as surfing or kayaking, this can be arranged. Or you may prefer to spend the rest of the day shopping for those souvenirs of your short break. You can purchase photographs of your jump or a video should you wish.
