Two thrill packed days of adventure activities including

kayaking training day and a memorable visit to Destination Les Écréhous

Jersey Odyssey and Jersey Kayak Adventures have come together to deliver a superb short break kayak package for the more adventurous holidaymaker. The weekend covers your B&B accommodation, kayak and equipment hire in addition to top level tuition. You will need to book your travel independently and we recommend you arrive the day before your scheduled activities.

Day 1

10.00-12.00
Learn the basics of craft control in a secluded and safe bay, your instructor will ensure you are equipped with the skills to paddle your ocean kayak and run through safety procedures.

14.00-16.00
Reflecting and building upon the basics of sea paddling, you will move onto different methods of kayak control and develop more advanced skills for your impending expedition. This afternoon session will give you your first real experience of an expedition scenario.

Spend your evening reminiscing over a glass of wine or two in the hotel bar in preparation for your main event - Destination Écréhous; but don’t drink or eat too much as you need to be up and about by 06.00 the next day to meet the charter vessel for your 20 minute voyage to your marine destination - Les Écréhous reef.   Click here to find out about Les Écréhous

Day 2 - Travel to Les Écréhous

07:30 - 17.00

With your guide/instructor depart St Catherine's harbour on a Rigid Inflatable Boat to Les Écréhous.  Disembark the RIB and commence your guided tour of the reef by kayak. About midday land for a leisurely lunch (provided) and explore the delights of Maitresse Ile. After lunch continue your tour of the reef before meeting up with the charter vessel to deliver you back to St Catherine's about 16:00.

Les Écréhous (Click here to read about the islands) is designated a RAMSAR site and has a rich and varied history. This is a magical voyage and you may also enjoy spotting a seal who may pop up to see what you're up to.
