two weeks of WET ‘ n ‘ WILD activities between the 21st July – 1st August 2008 incorporating
Coastal Traversing Coastal traversing, sometimes called coasteering, is the ultimate adventure experience which includes swimming, climbing, exploring caves and tunnels, dipping in a Venus pool, and for the brave - the occasional deep water entry!! The experienced guides of Jersey Odyssey know every nook and cranny on these expeditions giving you a fantastic yet safe experience.
Kayaking Kayaking is a great way to see parts of Jersey that other boats can't reach. BCU coaches will be taking tours leaving St Brelade's Bay for one of the best short paddles to be found anywhere. The tours may include stopping off at secluded coves and undertaking some rock jumping too.
Land Sailing with X-Sails The X-sail is very simple to use, hand steered like a bike, and with only one sheet - the ropey bit - to control speed. It's so easy to learn that even small kids will be proficient enough to x-sail unattended in about 10 minutes. A great way to use the wind.
Bush Walk This activity is off the beaten track and explores areas of rural Jersey, not usually discovered, and delights as you experience the fauna and flora in its natural state. The walk not only looks at flowers and plants but gives you the opportunity to try it as a food, medicine or a tool for survival. Jersey’s own Bushtucker trial!
Windsurfing Within the relatively safe confines of St Brelade’s Bay your recognized RYA windsurfing instructor, can empower you to challenge wind and tide to skim across this popular bay. You can be accompanied by a power boat to support you and coach you in this exhilarating activity.
